
CURTIS JACKSON
Hip Hop I/II and Hip Hop III/IV
Curtis Jackson was born in Chicago and moved to Omaha, where he has considered home for the past 20 years. He started dancing in high school after a friend convinced him to do a musical. He got the dancing bug and branched out to show choir. He then begin
freestyling and went into the world of competition. Curtis traveled and trained all over the U.S. and learned from dancers like Ben Chung (Kinjaz formerly Jabawokees), Brandon “747” Harrell (IAmMe), Stephen “Twitch” Boss (Ellen, Step Up), Savion Glover (Tap), Natasha Grimm (Omaha Academy of Ballet), and many
others. He was in a dance group (All New Krew) which he wrote or cowrote all the choreography for; which sparked his love forteaching. He begin teaching as a traveling guest teacher andchoreographer for studios and school show choirs. He was eveninvited to teach at Urban Dance Camp. His background, whilefocused mainly in Hip Hop, includes Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Show Choir, Musicals, Modern, and Lyrical.
Curtis will be teaching both Hip Hop I/II and III/IV and both Boys classes.
Curtis is a gamer and comic nerd who loves to share this with his wife Tasha and their two kids Aria and Luna.
